Report: Club chief travels to London, will discuss selling £17m player to Arsenal after NLD tonight
Bologna’s Director of Football Riccardo Bigon is in London for a meeting with Arsenal to discuss selling Aaron Hickey after their North London Derby against Tottenham tonight.
That’s according to Tutto Bologna Web, who claim that the director will be in attendance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and even has a meeting scheduled with the Gunners to talk about a potential transfer.
Viola News revealed at the end of last month that Arsenal are interested in the talented Scottish left-back, who will reportedly be available for sale for around £17 million this summer.

That was quickly backed up by multiple outlets, and if the latest news is to be believed, it looks like both clubs are serious about making a deal happen.
Bologna director sets meeting with Arsenal to discuss selling Aaron Hickey
Spurs host Arsenal in what is undoubtedly the biggest game of their season yet. A win for the Gunners will secure Champions League qualification tonight, and that could help them close a deal for Hickey right after the fixture tonight.
The report claims that Bigon views his trip to London today as a good opportunity to talk to Arsenal about the teenage left-back, who would be a fine signing for the Gunners.
Nuno Tavares had a bright start to life in North London, but his form since the turn of the year has caused concerns. Mikel Arteta had to play Takehiro Tomiyasu at left-back last weekend for the same reason, which isn’t ideal at all.
Hickey really does seem like a good player to bring in for the Gunners, and at just £17 million, Arsenal won’t have to break the bank either.
Tottenham want Hickey too
Arsenal have been making the most noise around Hickey over the last few weeks but the report claims that Tottenham like the young Scotsman too.
Spurs paid a lot of money to sign Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid in 2020. To be fair to the Spaniard, he’s a quality player, but he just doesn’t fit into Antonio Conte’s wing-back system.
For now, Tottenham are using Ryan Sessegnon there and he’s doing a great job. However, Spurs will need to bring in another player for that role, and Hickey could well be the one.
Arteta and Conte will go head to head in the derby tonight, and if the report is to be believed, they may well lock horns again once the summer transfer window opens.
