Brentford manager Thomas Frank is admired by Aston Villa as they kick off their search for a new boss after sacking Steven Gerrard.
Gerrard got the sack after losing 3-0 to Fulham last night, which topped off a disappointing season so far for Villa.
The Athletic report that the Bees are confident Frank will not leave them for Villa despite the vacant managerial position.
The two sides face each other on Sunday and perhaps this will add another dimension to that particular battle.

Frank liked by Villa
When Gerrard traded Rangers for Villa, it was widely thought that he was looking to impress in the Premier League before replacing Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Klopp has declared himself to be a big fan of Frank, saying: “The football they play is incredible and the organisation is incredible so Thomas and Brentford are doing an incredible job.
“They show even with less money you can create something really special.
“They are incredibly well-drilled football team. Everyone knows what to do, everyone is ready to make the extra yard.”
One major issue for Gerrard at Villa was a lack of a clear philosophy and no real idea of the direction he was taking the team in.
Frank plays attractive, flowing football with Brentford and has done exceptionally well in the transfer market in west London.
It seems that Brentford think Villa will need to look elsewhere, and Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly their first choice, if he can be convinced to come.
