Report: Tottenham and Conte keeping eyes on 'extraordinary' PSG player
Tottenham are moving closer to adding some more new signings to the ranks but a new name to emerge in the conversation is PSG defender, Achraf Hakimi.
Hakimi is a regular for the Parisiens and has enjoyed success since moving from Inter Milan. Of course, Hakimi won the title with Antonio Conte as his manager in Italy, and according to Football.London’s Alasdair Gold, the Spurs boss will be keeping a close eye on the wing-back’s situation in France.

Writing a lengthy overview of the players Tottenham are looking to bring in this summer, Gold writes for FL that Conte will be keeping tabs on Hakimi at PSG. The report is caveated with the obvious mention of Hakimi being content in Paris on his big contract. Further, it’s suggested a host of clubs would want him at a huge fee if he did become available.
Hakimi would, of course, be the perfect player for Tottenham in that right wing-back slot they’re looking to fill.
The favourite to be signed in that position as it stands is Middlesbrough star, Djed Spence. Despite helping Nottingham Forest to promotion, the young full-back is expected to move to Spurs or elsewhere rather than the City Ground.
TBR’s View: Achraf Hakimi Is A Dream Signing For Tottenham
Just ask the Brazilian Ronaldo, if you want any more convincing of Hakimi’s quality. The legendary striker dubbed the full-back as an ‘extraordinary’ player, and claimed he was one of Inter’s best signings of recent times.
Of course, Gold’s mention of Hakimi here is more theoretical than a transfer rumour as such. Conte will always be keeping eyes on Hakimi because, well, why wouldn’t he?
In reality, Spurs will probably end up with Spence and he’s an exciting player himself. But he’s no Hakimi, who really is the signing of dreams for Tottenham and Conte.
