Report claims Ancelotti's now spoken to £90k-a-week Everton star about possible Real Madrid move

Carlo Ancelotti has spoken to Richarlison about potentially following him from Everton to Real Madrid, according to a report from Goal.

Richarlison is one of the players facing an uncertain future following Ancelotti’s departure from Goodison Park.

He apparently took the Italian’s exit badly. And it was subsequently reported that he has indicated that he is ready to leave the Toffees.

And now it appears that Ancelotti is working on being reunited with the Brazilian in the Spanish capital.

According to Goal, Ancelotti has made contact with Richarlison. He has reportedly spoken to him about the possibility of joining Real Madrid.

The interest is reportedly in its infancy. But Goal claims that talks could evolve into an offer at some stage in the coming weeks.

Everton unlikely to make it easy for Ancelotti to sign Richarlison

Everton find themselves in a strong position with Richarlison. He still has three years left on his contract on Merseyside.

The Toffees paid £50 million for the £90,000-a-week Brazil international. And his stock has only risen.

He has scored 33 Premier League goals for Everton.

Everton will also be aware that selling Richarlison to Los Blancos would be particularly unpopular following Ancelotti’s exit.

They already have some making up to do after the controversial decision to appoint Rafa Benitez. Plenty of supporters were completely against the Spaniard coming in.

Ancelotti speaking to the player while he is away on international duty may also not sit too well with the Toffees.

If true, it will disappoint a lot of supporters. The manner of his departure caused a lot of anguish. And taking players with him will only damage that relationship further.

So Everton will surely be demanding an eye-watering fee for their forward.
