Celtic are looking to sign a new forward in the coming weeks, according to Sky Sports. The Scottish club are looking for some reinforcements to take some of the burden off of Odsonne Edouard.
The French forward has scored 12 goals in just 17 Scottish Premiership games this season and is proving himself to be a reliable figure upfront for the club. However, Celtic need some more back-up in case Edouard gets injured or suffers a dip in form.

When asked about the possibility of a new striker coming in assistant manager John Kennedy said to Sky Sports: ”There are some options there which are going on in the background and will continue. And we would like to do that as quickly as possible.
”But it needs to be right. We don’t want to just jump into something that is not quite right for us. So there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes. It’s an area we are trying to improve to give us more options. But hopefully, in the next week or two, we can give you a bit more news on that.”
TBR’s view: Who could the new striker be?

Celtic have been linked with a number of strikers in recent weeks. Slovan Bratislava striker Andraz Sporar is a name that continues to be mentioned, alongside Stoke City striker Tyrese Campbell. Le Havre hitman Tino Kadewere and Dundee’s Lawrence Shankland has also been linked with the Scottish Premiership leaders.
Those in charge of the club will need to assess who the most suitable option is quickly. With Rangers hot on their tails, a deadly second striker could make a big difference in the latter stages of the season.
