Liverpool will be hoping to bounce back from their disappointing league defeat to Brentford at the weekend.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will want to quickly move on from Monday’s loss and get their cup campaign off to a positive start.
They’re going to have to do it without Virgil van Dijk, who was substituted at half-time against Brentford.
The Athletic suggest that the Dutchman’s hamstring injury is worse than expected and he now needs to see a specialist.

Van Dijk may have been rested regardless, but it’s a blow to lose the 31-year-old for the next few weeks.
Goal do deliver some good news though, and believe that new signing Cody Gakpo is expected to be available this weekend.
It’ll be Liverpool fans first opportunity to see him in their club’s colours after arriving from PSV Eindhoven.
Gakpo expected to be available to face Wolves
The report suggests that, ‘Cody Gakpo, who signed from PSV Eindhoven at the beginning of January, is also expected to be available for the cup clash and could therefore be handed his highly-anticipated debut in the game.’
The ‘brilliant’ forward has a lot of pressure on his shoulders already to hit the ground running.
Liverpool are short of left-sided attackers, and Gakpo will need to pick up the mantle quickly.
Injuries to Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota have forced Liverpool to move in the market.

The Colombian’s absence is especially frustrating, given how close he was to a return to action in Dubai.
Gakpo has been on fire this season, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists in the Eredivisie this season.
He may need some time to get used to his new surroundings, but Liverpool fans would have liked what they saw from him at the World Cup.
Now that Gakpo is expected to be available to face Wolves, he has the perfect opportunity to get his Liverpool career off to a good start.
A debut goal would ease the fears of some fans that this could be a disappointing campaign for the Reds.
