Bayern Munich have spoken to Harry Kane‘s agent and claimed that they plan to make an offer for the Tottenham Hotspur star should he decide not to sign a new contract with Spurs, according to a report from Sport Bild.

Tottenham fans had to deal with few rumours concerning Kane’s future this past summer. Of course, the club are moving in the right direction under Antonio Conte. And there are only a handful of sides who would surely stand a chance of appealing to the England captain.

Manchester City signed Erling Haaland while Barcelona landed Robert Lewandowski. Karim Benzema meanwhile, continues to be the talisman for Real Madrid.

But more recently, another contender has emerged. Recent reports claimed that Bayern now want Kane. And Spurs are concerned about their interest in the 29-year-old.

The problem emerging on the horizon for Tottenham is that Kane’s deal expires in 2024. So the situation could be precarious depending on how Spurs progress under Conte.

Bayern are certainly waiting in the wings. In fact, they have made it clear to his representatives that they will be ready to make an offer.

According to Sport Bild, the Bavarian giants plan to make a bid should Kane decide against signing a new contract with Tottenham.

Bayern have spoken to Kane’s agent

Much like Antonio Conte, Harry Kane is probably happy for Tottenham to sweat a little when it comes to his future. There is little reason for the forward to sign a new deal at this stage.

The last thing he would want is to pen what could be the biggest contract of his career and then watch Tottenham stagnate.

Spurs have made a brilliant start to life under Conte. And there really does appear to be potential for the Italian to lead the club into a special era.

But Kane – who has been labelled ‘incredible’ this season – has time to see whether Tottenham do indeed kick on. And keeping Bayern on his radar will send out a clear message to Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici that the club cannot stand still.
