Arsenal may face competition from Barcelona if they hope to sign Andre Onana, with Fabrizio Romano reporting with CBS Sports that the Catalan giants are closely monitoring the 25-year-old.
Onana currently remains sidelined due to a suspension. He is set to return from a doping ban in November. But his long-term future appears to lie away from Ajax.

Romano has claimed that he is set to leave when his contract expires at the end of the campaign. And a host of clubs are keen.
The journalist notes that Arsenal spoke to his agent in the summer. Meanwhile, Goal recently suggested that they could go back in for the Cameroon international should Bernd Leno leave.

Meanwhile, Romano has suggested that Inter Milan have been in contact with his agents. The Nerazzurri deem him to be the ideal successor to Samir Handanovic.
But interestingly, he also reports that Barca are closely following the stopper. It comes six years after he left the Nou Camp for Ajax.
Leno exit on the cards, so will Arsenal rival Barcelona for Onana?
It was reported by the Daily Mail on Tuesday that Arsenal are considering selling Bernd Leno next summer. He lost his place to Aaron Ramsdale at the weekend.
There is a long time to go until the campaign concludes. And there is reportedly little chance of a January move. So much could change.
But if he does depart, a move for Onana makes a lot of sense. He is an excellent goalkeeper. And he would be available on a free transfer.
Having said that, Barcelona’s interest probably does the Gunners few favours.
