Arsenal are now considering selling Bernd Leno next summer, with the Daily Mail reporting that there is little chance of a January move – despite the goalkeeper losing his place in Mikel Arteta’s side.
Leno began the campaign as number one. But the Gunners laid a clear challenge down in front of him by spending £30 million on Aaron Ramsdale.

However, Arteta decided to hand Ramsdale the gloves for Saturday’s clash with Norwich. And it now seems that the decision has pushed Leno closer to the exit.
According to the Daily Mail, the 29-year-old is out of contract in 2023. And the hope was Ramsdale would take the number one spot by the end of the campaign.

But the change seems to have already taken place. And that has seemingly made Leno’s exit more likely.
It is noted by the Daily Mail that there is little chance of Leno leaving in January.
Time for Leno to regain spot as Arsenal consider summer sale
There is a long way to go this season. And Arsenal fans know how good Leno can be when he is at his very best.
Ramsdale is still a young player. And playing for Arsenal presents a challenge he has not yet had in his career.
So he has plenty to prove. And with that, Leno – who earns £100,000-a-week – can perhaps hold out some hope that he is far from done at the Emirates.
If the decision brings the best out of Leno, it could be fantastic for Arsenal.
And it would be interesting in that scenario to see whether the club still consider a summer sale or not.
