Barcelona believe they will win the race to sign Ruben Neves in news that will be a disappointment for Arsenal, according to the Sunday Mirror (29/5; page 71).
Neves could well be on the move this summer. He has already suggested that he may have now made his final appearance for Wolves.

The Sunday Mirror reports that Bruno Lage is resigned to losing the Portuguese.
Arsenal want Neves. And interestingly, the report claims that Mikel Arteta’s men saw a £35 million bid for the 25-year-old rejected during the January transfer window.

But it seems that he may be heading elsewhere. Certainly, Barca believe that they are on course to secure his signature. The Sunday Mirror (29/5; page 71) reports that the Catalan giants think they will land £50 million-rated Neves after a massive cash injection from Spotify.
Barcelona have a good relationship with Wolves. The report appears to hint that they could be in talks over a swap deal involving Adama Traore and Francisco Trincao. And Neves could perhaps follow Adama to the Nou Camp.
Barcelona believe they will sign Neves
It would be a shame for Arsenal if they do miss out on Neves this summer. He is a ‘sensational‘ midfielder who could well continue to improve for some time yet.
Mikel Arteta absolutely needs to strengthen in midfield over the coming months. And clearly, Neves is a key target, judging by the reported £35 million bid during the winter.
They will have other names in mind. Youri Tielemans was reportedly confident that he was heading to the Emirates before they missed on a place in the top-four.
Signing either would be a superb bit of business from the Gunners as they look to take that next step next year.
Unfortunately, it seems that signing Neves may be beyond them – judging by Barca’s stance.
