Atalanta are demanding €55m (£47.1m) for Tottenham Hotspur-linked Cristian Romero, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The latest reports are claiming the Argentina international wants to move to north London.
There has been much speculation surrounding Tottenham’s defence during the off-season. Speculation has been flying around about the futures of Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Serge Aurier.
Romano has said that talks are ongoing between the two teams over a deal. And the defensive monster is yet to turn down the proposal from the Lilywhites.
The ace was in good form last season, winning 3.6 aerial duels, more than any Tottenham player
Meanwhile, it was also revealed that Romero’s teammate Pierluigi Gollini is flying to London to complete his medical.

£47.1m asking price for Romero might be too much for Tottenham
Much like their north London neighbours, Arsenal, Spurs require a rebuild. The side need reinforcements in a number of different positions this summer.
It makes expensive signings all the more difficult. In that case, it makes the loan deal for goalkeeper, Gollini, far more suitable for the outfit.
But, the £47.1m asking price might be a bit too much for Tottenham this summer.
Right-back, central midfield, right-wing and a new striker are all priorities this summer. If the Lilywhites can negotiate a similar deal to the soon-to-be number two, then it will benefit them moving forward.
