Aston Villa are weighing up a deadline day move for Yves Bissouma after seeing a £25 million bid for the Brighton midfielder rejected earlier in the window, according to The Telegraph’s live transfer blog (31/1; 10:31).
Bissouma is one of the Premier League’s most talented midfielders. He is equally brilliant at breaking up play when out of possession and driving the Seagulls forward in it. He has previously been labelled ‘incredible‘ by Graham Potter.

Unsurprisingly, Brighton are looking set to face a fight to keep the Mali international. It was previously suggested that Tottenham and Newcastle are keen, but face paying £50 million for the 25-year-old.
But perhaps the Villans may spring a surprise. The Telegraph reports on its live transfer blog (31/1; 10:31) that Aston Villa are considering a last-ditch attempt to bring Bissouma in.

It is noted that they have already offered £25 million in this window. And if they do not make a move today, they plan to have another go in the summer.
Signing Bissouma would round off outstanding January window for Aston Villa
Aston Villa have not stolen all of the headlines this month. But they have done some superb business, signing both Philippe Coutinho and Lucas Digne. The move for Calum Chambers could also prove to be incredibly smart.
Adding Bissouma to the ranks would be an amazing way to round off the window for Aston Villa. It is clearly going to take a lot. But Villa have already sprung a surprise or two this month, so nothing can be ruled out.
