Report: Arsenal yet to receive an official bid for Hector Bellerin
Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin could yet have to wait around all summer in order to seal a move away, according to The Telegraph.
Bellerin is known to want out of the Gunners this summer, and is said to have his heart set on a move to Inter Milan. The Serie A club have registered their interest. But as yet, no agreement has been reached.
The sticking point is believed to be Arsenal’s demand for a guarantee over a permanent move to be included. Inter are thought to want a loan for now, but have, as yet, failed to commit to the more long-term option.
Reports last week suggested Arsenal had dropped the asking-price for Bellerin to just £15m. However, that has still yielded no bids.
The Telegraph suggests that a late fight for Bellerin could ensue. However, it once again mentions Arsenal’s insistence on the permanent clause.
Bellerin, then, could well be forced to wait all summer before eventually getting his move away from North London.
There’s obviously reasons behind it but why clubs drag things like this out is borderline silly at times.
Bellerin wants out, Arsenal don’t want him, and Inter do want him. Why, then, are Arsenal wasting time with the deal? Edu simply needs to get it resolved, otherwise the Gunners head into another season with a number of players hanging around who they don’t want.
The stance on getting the permanent clause is admirable. But Bellerin will end up leaving, and it won’t be a surprise if it just ends up being a loan anyway.
