Arsenal want Kyle Walker-Peters, while The Athletic reports that Tottenham Hotspur have a buy-back clause worth £30 million for the Southampton right-back.
Walker-Peters has really launched his career since moving to the south coast. He impressed whenever he got the chance to play for Spurs. However, his lack of game-time prompted the 25-year-old to look for a move away.

He has become a key man for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side. But The Athletic reports that there has been no progress in talks over a new contract. And he has admirers.
Arsenal want Walker-Peters despite his connections to their North London rivals. Manchester United are also keen on the England international.

And interestingly, Spurs can bring him back for £30 million due to a clause agreed when he moved to St Mary’s.
Arsenal want Walker-Peters
Walker-Peters could certainly be a fantastic signing for a number of Premier League teams. Arsenal could arguably do with more quality and depth in the full-back positions.
He is comfortable playing on the left, as well as in his favoured position of right-back.
Spurs’ buy-back clause is an interesting one. Right now, it does appear that Djed Spence is in the driving seat to be the answer to Tottenham’s search for a new right wing-back.
But talks have reportedly dragged on. And should the pursuit continue much longer, surely there will be conversations about whether Antonio Conte’s men should consider re-signing Walker-Peters.
Unlike Spence, he has proved himself in the Premier League. And he should be coming into the peak years of his career.
Paul Merson described him as ‘absolutely outstanding‘. And it is hard to argue with those Arsenal or Tottenham fans who think that he would be a brilliant addition to their respective teams.
