Report: Arsenal to challenge Leeds for Noa Lang signing in January

Arsenal will look to beat the likes of Leeds United and AC Milan to the signing of Dutch starlet, Noa Lang, according to Voetbal 24.

Lang was a key target for Leeds during the summer window. In fact, just last month it was claimed the Whites had indeed agreed a £21m deal to bring Lang to Elland Road.

Alas, no such deal ever got over the line and Lang has since started the season well in Belgium with Club Brugge. After hitting 17 goals last season in all competitions, the 21-year-old has already struck four times this term.

Voetbal 24 claim that the race for Lang will hot up next summer. However, the price for Lang could go as high as 30m Euros (£25.6m). Voetbal suggest that those sorts of figures could well put both the Gunners and Milan off.

Lang has already been successful in his young career. He’s won both the Dutch and Belgian leagues, while he’s already firmly knocking on the door of the full Netherlands squad.

TBR’s View: Noa Lang a serious talent for Arsenal to consider

If this summer’s recruitment is anything to go by, then you can see why the Gunners are looking at Lang. A young player with huge potential, he very much fits the bill for Arteta and Edu.

The key will be how well Lang does this season. If he is successful, then his value might even rocket further. And with the report suggesting around £25m already, things could get tricky.

But, the best young players cost good money. If Arsenal want Lang, then, they’ll simply have to pay up.
