Report: Leeds agree personal terms with Noa Lang
A report from Belgian outlet Voetbal Belgie claim that Leeds United have agreed terms to sign Noa Lang from Club Brugge. The winger joined Brugge this summer from Ajax permanently, after shining on loan last season. Leeds have been linked with Lang, and have now agreed personal terms.
Lang, 22, joined Brugge last summer having scored four goals in 14 senior Ajax games after coming through the academy. He took his game to a new level at Brugge, scoring a huge 17 goals and 11 assists in 37 Brugge games. It saw him sign a permanent deal this summer, and has continued his form.
The Netherlands Under-21 international has had a hand in five goals during his first five games this season. A previous report from Voetbal Belgie said Leeds and Milan were keen – with a fee of £21million needed. Now, a new report from VB claims Leeds have agreed personal terms for Lang. Talks between Leeds and Brugge are said to be ‘progressing well’.
Lang an excellent signing for Leeds at just £21m
If the reports are true, it is an excellent bit of business for Leeds. Marcelo Bielsa was asked about signings in Thursday’s press conference ahead of Saturday’s game against Everton. He said there are not going to be any new additions – unless something big changes.
He is hardly going to say Leeds are signing players in the next two weeks. But the fact is that Lang is a brilliant signing for most Premier League clubs at £21million. His form last season proved that. If the reports are true, Victor Orta is pulling off an enormous coup.
