Report: Arsenal ready to step up Neto interest after Pepe agreement

Arsenal are now ready to step up their interest in Pedro Neto as Nicolas Pepe closes in on his loan exit, with 90min reporting that the Wolves star’s representatives have made it clear that a move is possible.

Pepe is on the verge of leaving the Emirates. Reports on Wednesday claimed that an agreement has now been reached with Nice ahead of a loan move to Ligue 1. The Ivorian could make his debut this weekend.

A loan for the club’s record signing is not ideal. But his departure is set to open the door for Arsenal to go back into the market and potentially bring in one more signing.

Reports this week suggested that Neto is now Arsenal’s top target for the final days of the summer.

And 90min reports that the Gunners are now ready to step up their interest in the Portuguese. It is noted that Wolves do not want to sell Neto.

However, his agents believe that a move is possible. So it will certainly be an intriguing situation to monitor in the coming days.

Arsenal ready to step up Neto interest

Arsenal signing Neto would be a real statement. Pepe, unfortunately, has not been a good signing for the Gunners when you take everything into account.

And it seems that he is not in Mikel Arteta’s plans. So to move him on and replace him with Neto would be seriously exciting.

The 22-year-old is a ‘sensational‘ talent. He has proven himself in the Premier League. And he should only get better in the years ahead.

And with Arsenal currently sat at the top of the Premier League table, he may well feel that it is the right time to move on if Arteta’s side come calling.
