According to El Periodico Mediterraneo, Arsenal are the most interested club in the race to sign Villarreal youngster Yeremy Pino this summer.
The Gunners are on the market for a new wide player. Raphinha, as we all know now, was their number one target, but following the Brazilian’s move to Barcelona, Mikel Arteta and co have had to look elsewhere.
Arsenal have been linked with a whole host of players over the last few weeks, but the latest name to come out of the rumour mill is young Pino, who is one of Villarreal’s finest young talents.
If a latest report is to be believed, the North Londoners are the main contenders in the race to sign him.
Arsenal more interested than any other club in Yeremy Pino
The report claims that Villarreal haven’t yet received a bid for Pino, but Arsenal have expressed an interest in signing the talented 19-year-old winger before the window shuts.
The Las Palmas-born Spaniard played 40 times in all competitions under Unai Emery last season, and he was really impressive. He scored seven goals and provided four assists, which is not too bad for a teenager.
Pino’s performances seem to have caught Arsenal’s eye. The report claims that the youngster is ‘mainly’ on the Gunners’ radar this summer, and they could well make a move for him in the coming weeks.
Villarreal have tied down the young winger until 2027. He is protected by a release clause of around £68 million, but the Spanish outfit is reportedly ready to let him leave for a fee between £34 million and £42 million this summer.

TBR View:
Pino really does check all the boxes that Arsenal usually look for in a player.
He’s young, extremely talented, has a fair bit of experience at the top level and his potential is up there with that of the best players of his age in Spain. Villarreal’s demands aren’t too outrageous either, which makes him a very attractive option for the Gunners.
However, Arteta and co are unlikely to make a move unless they can get the likes of Nicolas Pepe and Reiss Nelson out of the door in the coming weeks.
At this moment in time, that looks unlikely, but football is a funny game and anything can happen in the final week of the transfer window.
