Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes have been dealt a massive blow, with 90min reporting that Gabriel Jesus is set to be out for several months with a knee injury.
Gunners fans have been nervously awaiting an update on the 25-year-old ever since it was announced that he would miss the rest of the World Cup after starting Brazil’s final group game.

Jesus has been a huge signing for Mikel Arteta’s side. He has scored five goals in the Premier League. But he brings so much to the side with his pressing and his quality in tight spaces.
Gabriel Jesus out for several months
Unfortunately, it seems that Arsenal are going to have to navigate a large part of the campaign without the former Manchester City man.

According to 90min, Arsenal have now learned that Jesus will miss several months. He will undergo surgery on his medial ligament.
It is the news that Arsenal fans would have been fearing. Jesus has been so important to Arsenal since his move from Manchester City in the summer.
Replacing him is going to be a huge challenge for the Gunners. Fortunately, the January transfer window is only just around the corner. And that may allow the club to find someone to fill the void.
But clearly, other sides are going to know how desperate Arsenal are. And with that, they may well feel entitled to bump any prices right up.
However, Arsenal do not have many options when it comes to replacing Jesus. He ticks such a specific set of boxes for Arteta’s side. As Philippe Coutinho suggested, he is a ‘phenomenon‘.
It is going to be a huge test for Arsenal if he is indeed out for a number of months.
