Report: Arsenal in transfer talks with Juventus; two players discussed
Arsenal recently held transfer talks with Juventus, with Calciomercato reporting that Aaron Ramsey and Hector Bellerin were discussed.
It would be no surprise to see both Ramsey and Bellerin on the move in the coming months.
Ramsey is apparently keen on rejoining Arsenal two years after he left the Gunners.
Bellerin meanwhile, has been linked with a return to Spain. However, perhaps he may actually end up heading to Italy.
According to Calciomercato, Juventus want the 26-year-old. It is noted that he is valued at around £21.5 million as his contract runs into its final two years.
And it appears that discussions have taken place.
Calciomercato claims that the two clubs recently held talks about the two players.
Swap deal may work for Arsenal and Juventus amid talks reports – but Gunners fans may need convincing about transfer
It does appear that the time is right for Bellerin to leave the Emirates. He has come in for criticism this past season.
He has not kicked on as many thought he would.
So Arsenal will welcome discussions that could lead to Bellerin moving on in this window.
And if they are indeed open to welcoming Ramsey back, then a swap deal surely makes a lot of sense.
However, it appears that Arsenal fans may need convincing about the merits of potentially re-signing the Welshman.
He has not enjoyed the best spell in Turin. And he is potentially coming towards the end of his peak as he turns 31 before the end of the year.
It remains to be seen if anything comes of the reported talks. With both players seemingly keen to move on, it would be little surprise if further discussions did take place.
