Arsenal have moved a step closer to announcing the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko, with The Athletic reporting that the Gunners have now agreed in principle a four-year contract with the Manchester City star.
It has been apparent for some time that, barring any late hiccups, Zinchenko will become the latest player to move to the Emirates in this window.

Reports at the weekend claimed that Arsenal were expected to agree a deal at the start of this week. And it seems that they are continuing to make progress on a move.
The Athletic reports that a fee worth up to £32 million has been accepted by Manchester City. Arsenal will pay an initial £30 million for the Ukraine international.

And personal terms are now in place. The Gunners will hand Zinchenko a four-year deal in North London. He could now leave Manchester City’s pre-season tour to undergo a medical.
Arsenal agree contract with Oleksandr Zinchenko
Arsenal deserve enormous credit for the work that they have done in the market. They have certainly taken a step forward from last season when they came agonisingly close to finishing in the top-four.
Gabriel Jesus is a better striker than what they had previously. Meanwhile, there is a lot of excitement about the likes of Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos.
Signing Zinchenko would be a potential masterstroke. He has the ability to play in a number of positions, including in midfield and the defence.
And he arrives with something of a point to prove. Pep Guardiola clearly rated him highly, labelling him ‘incredible‘ during his time at the Etihad Stadium.
But he was never quite able to be a regular starter for City for a lengthy period of time. So having that opportunity with Arsenal will be hugely important.
