Report: Arsenal expected to announce Zinchenko deal next week

Arsenal are set to announce the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko at the start of next week, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Gunners are expected to have no problem agreeing personal terms with the Ukraine international.

It has appeared for a few days that Zinchenko was likely to become the Gunners’ latest signing. Reports claimed earlier this week that Arsenal had stepped up their pursuit of the 25-year-old.

It seems that there is still work to do. However, any hurdles left to clear appear to only be small ones.

The Daily Mail reports that Zinchenko’s move to Arsenal is expected to be announced at the start of next week.

The two parties still need to agree personal terms. However, that is not expected to be an issue for Mikel Arteta’s side. And they will pay around £35 million for the versatile midfielder.

Arsenal have enjoyed a really impressive transfer window. Of course, last season ended in disappointing fashion for the Gunners as they missed out on the top-four.

However, they have responded in the perfect manner. They have addressed a number of issues within their squad. And it does appear that they are going into the new campaign with plenty to be excited about.

Signing Zinchenko would definitely be another step in the right direction. He has done well whenever he has played for Manchester City. Pep Guardiola described him as ‘incredible‘.

Zinchenko improves Arsenal’s midfield ranks. But he also gives Mikel Arteta more options anywhere down the left flank.

And it seems that a deal is now set to be imminent, with Arsenal hoping that an agreement is just around the corner.
