Arsenal are considering a move for Bernardo Silva as an alternative target to James Maddison, according to a report from the Daily Mirror.
Silva’s future with Manchester City looks to be up in the air. As noted by the Mirror, City have spent £100 million bringing Jack Grealish in.

He only made 24 starts in the Premier League last season. And the Portuguese was left on the bench 12 times when he was available.
The Daily Mirror reports that the 26-year-old was eyeing a move to Barcelona or Atletico Madrid. However, Spanish clubs are struggling to find the funds to produce many marquee deals in this window.
And according to the Mirror, that has opened the door for Arsenal to consider a deal.

He is seen as a cheaper target to Maddison. The Leicester City man is valued at around £60 million.
Arsenal may have work to do if they hope to land Bernardo Silva for less than Maddison would cost
Unfortunately for Arsenal, previous reports would suggest that City want a similar fee for the former Monaco man.
The Telegraph claimed this week that the Premier League champions value Silva at the same price.
Meanwhile, Spotrac shows that he earns £150,000-a-week. So he will certainly not come cheap.
And with Silva setting his sights on Spain, Arsenal may have to make a lucrative offer if they hope to tempt him to the Emirates.
It would be a real coup for the Gunners. Obviously, Mikel Arteta knows the attacking midfielder from his time with the Cityzens.
Silva should only just be hitting his peak. So if there is a deal to be done, it could be an outstanding piece of business.
