Report: Arsenal eye Andrea Belotti in final week of transfer window

A report from the Daily Mail has suggested that Andrea Belotti is one of the players Arsenal would like to sign in the final week of the transfer window.

The Gunners have been one of the busiest sides this summer. The likes of Ben White, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale have all arrived for substantial fees.

But with Edu struggling to offload players, the full overhaul fans were probably hoping for has not quite taken place. So perhaps there is still more to come from the Emirates before the deadline passes.

According to the Daily Mail, they still want a striker and a right-back. And they suggest that Belotti is on their radar in the final days of the window.

Belotti could well be on the move in the near future. L’Interista reported in the last few days that he has been offered to Inter Milan.

Torino value the 27-year-old at around £21.4 million. His deal expires next summer, so a move in the coming days could make a lot of sense to the Serie A side.

It is not the first time Arsenal have been linked in this window. It was reported in June that he was on the Gunners’ radar.

So it is interesting that the Mail names Belotti as one of the players Arsenal would like to sign in the final days of the window.

Belotti bid will surely depend on Arsenal offloading striker before deadline

Belotti boasts a superb record from his time with Torino. And there are likely to be plenty of Arsenal fans who would welcome a move.

However, it is hard to seeing a deal happening without the Gunners offloading a striker first.

Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette have been linked with the exit. But obviously, both men currently remain at the club.

So without them leaving, it is difficult to imagine that Arsenal are going to make a move for Belotti.
