Crystal Palace fans react to Eddie Nketiah reports
A number of Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Athletic claiming that they are ready to pay £10 million for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.
Nketiah could be one of the players to leave the Gunners in the final stages of the window. As noted by The Athletic, the forward is out of contract next summer.
Arsenal are yet to agree an extension with the 22-year-old. So the time may be right to let him move on before the deadline passes.
There is no shortage of interest, it seems. The Athletic reports that an unnamed German club have seen two approaches turned down but retain an interest.
They reportedly value Nketiah at around £10 million, which is the same price Palace are apparently willing to offer.
Arsenal meanwhile, want £20 million. So it would appear that a compromise would be required if a deal is going to take place.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the reports have divided some of the Eagles fans on social media.
Nketiah has previously shown a lot of promise. However, he has struggled to really kick on since becoming a more important member of Mikel Arteta’s first-team at the Emirates.

For some, he is a player Palace should avoid. They are alarmed that he has not earned more opportunities in North London given the problems Arsenal have had.
Others however, seem much more optimistic. Few appear to be in favour of paying £20 million. But they do think that he has a lot of potential.
With that in mind, here is what some of the Palace fans make of the reports…
If Nketiah didn’t play for Arsenal we would not:
– Be paying £10-15m for him
– Be buying him in the first place #CPFC

I’ll take nketiah at this point just not for more than £15m

Id be happy with Nketiah.. dont think he’s as bad as people think. Wouldnt pay more than 13/14 mill though with a few add ons #CPFC

I’d take Nketiah at palace all day for £10million
Not sure what planet anyone is on if you think that isn’t good business #cpfc

Nketiah AND Nelson? I don’t know about you, but Arsenal is not the club I want us to be raiding at this moment in time. It’s toxic. Players’ confidence are literally on the floor.

Nketiah gives us a different option and we need it. That’s the truth.
In Dougie we trust

There’s a very good reason Arsenal fans are wanting Nketiah gone👍🏼
