According to a report from Napolipiu, Arsenal are interested in securing a double deal to sign Napoli stars Victor Osimhen and Fabian Ruiz in the summer.
The Gunners are aiming for a spot in the top four and their fate is completely in their own hands. Mikel Arteta’s men are just four points behind fourth-place Manchester United but they have three games in hand over the Red Devils.
If Arsenal win their remaining games this season, they will finish in one of the Champions League places and that would be a fantastic achievement considering where they were after the first three games of the campaign.
Irrespective of where they end up this term, Arsenal need two new strikers and at least one midfielder. It looks like Arteta has made up his mind on who he wants in those positions this summer.
Arsenal want Victor Osimhen and Fabian Ruiz
Osimhen and Ruiz are arguably Napoli’s two best players. They have been brilliant for the Partenopei and it’s only a matter of time before they move on to a bigger club.
Arsenal are in desperate need of a new number nine and the report claims that they are keen on Osimhen. The Nigerian, labelled as ‘phenomenal’ by Walter Mazzarri, would be a great option. He has scored 11 goals and provided three assists in just 15 starts this campaign, which is a phenomenal return.
Ruiz, on the other hand, is a fantastic midfielder as well. The 25-year-old has been at Napoli for over three-and-a-half years now and he has been one of their best players. He is expected to move on this summer as he enters the final year of his contract.
The report claims that Arsenal are keen to sign both players and Napoli are willing to sanction a move. However, they will demand a combined fee in excess of £84 million (€100m) to let their stars leave. That could complicate things for the Gunners.

TBR View:
Arsenal have to sign two new strikers and at least one new midfielder in the summer, there are no two ways about it.
Alexandre Lacazette, Eddie Nketiah and Mohamed Elneny are expected to move on when their contracts expire in June, while Granit Xhaka could also leave with Roma reportedly keen.
Arsenal have to replace them if they move on, and Osimhen and Ruiz would be fantastic signings. Both players are among the best in their positions in the Serie A at the moment and they are both young as well.
They would fit in really well at the Emirates and after the Gunners showed they aren’t afraid to spend the big bucks last summer, it won’t be a surprise to see them splash over £84 million to secure the signings of Osimhen and Ruiz before the start of next season.
