Arsenal are willing to hand Lautaro Martinez a massive contract in the hope of landing him, EuroSport suggest.
Big money deal
Tottenham Hotspur made a £60 million bid for the striker last Friday, but they are wanting to see if the deal can progress.
And they could also find that Arsenal are waiting in the wings to make their move for the Argentine.
Arsenal are reportedly very keen to snap up the 23-year-old and are prepared to offer him a £275,000-a-week contract.
That would put him right up with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang as one of the club’s top earners.
It could also convince Martinez that a move to the Emirates Stadium would appeal, as he is only on £40,000-a-week at Inter currently (Sky).

If Arsenal did land Martinez, who has been labelled as ‘spectacular’ by Lionel Messi (TalkSport), it would be quite the show of intent.
But with Tottenham also pushing, doing a deal does not seem simple for either side.
And with Inter now having the cash from the Romelu Lukaku sale, it may be difficult for either of the North London club to prise him away from Italy.
