North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie.
The ‘really impressive’ defender is only 20 years old, but already has 21 senior Ecuador caps.
Tottenham had looked at Hincapie in the summer, and were told they needed to pay £34.5 for the centre-back.

Calcio Mercato suggest that the defender with a ‘fabulous future’ is also being watched by a number of clubs in Serie A.
The north London rivals battled it out at the Emirates yesterday with the Gunners coming out on top.
And now, Arsenal and Tottenham could be set to go head-to-head again with their interest in Hincapie.
Arsenal and Tottenham interested in Hincapie
The 20-year-old Ecudorian is comfortable playing as a centre-back or a left-back.
Hincapie is deployed as a full-back when part of a back four, but drops into a central role in a back three.
This would certainly suit Tottenham’s set-up under Antonio Conte.
With Clement Lenglet set to return to Barcelona in the summer, there would be a space in the squad for Hincapie.
Arsenal already have two very accomplished left-backs in Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney.
However, they could certainly do with more cover at centre-back, and Hincapie would allow Arsenal to switch to a back three if they wanted to.

Hincapie’s side Bayer Leverkusen are seriously struggling this season.
They’re currently playing in the Champions League and defeated Atletico Madrid last month.
However, they also sit in the relegation zone of the Bundesliga.
They were also the subject of a giant killing in the German Cup.
Leverkusen’s precarious position could see some of their most valuable stars looking to move on sooner rather than later.
Arsenal and Tottenham’s interest in Hincapie could give the Ecuadorian the chance to make his move to the Premier League.
