Christopher Nkunku hopes RB Leipzig would be prepared to accept any offers of £50 million this summer, with ESPN reporting that the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool want the attacking midfielder.

Nkunku has enjoyed an absolutely unbelievable season. He has scored 26 goals and contributed 15 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.

His record is all the more remarkable when you consider that he has predominantly played in an attacking midfield role.

Unsurprisingly, a host of clubs want the Frenchman this summer. ESPN reports that Arsenal, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested in Nkunku.

His contract has just over two years left to run. So Leipzig are not currently in the strongest position. But they hope that they can agree an extension.

ESPN reports that they want to hold talks with Nkunku in the summer. However, they are also open to offers of £63.3 million (€75 million).

They do have a good relationship with his agent. But the report adds that Nkunku is hoping that Leipzig will accept any bids worth £50 million.

Arsenal must try their luck for Nkunku in hope £50m bid will be enough

Arsenal look set to return to one European competition this summer. It could well be that they are back in the Champions League. And with that, Mikel Arteta will hope to make the kind of signings that take the squad to that next level.

Nkunku is unquestionably one player with a ridiculous amount of potential. His teammate Tyler Adams labelled him ‘something special‘.

And if he is available for £50 million, he could be an absolute steal for a club like Arsenal.

It is certainly worth the Gunners asking the question this summer.
