Report: Arsenal ace Torreira offered to AC Milan
Arsenal ace Lucas Torreira has been offered to AC Milan, according to La Repubblica.
Torreira spent last season on loan with Atletico Madrid, where he lifted the La Liga title. The ace has attracted mass interest from clubs across Italy and Spain.
According to the most recent reports, the Uruguay international has agreed on personal terms with Lazio. It could help Arsenal with a move for the Eagles’ Joaquin Correa, who is of interest to Mikel Arteta.
Meanwhile, the Italian giants are looking to extend the Franck Kessie’s contract. The Ivory Coast international’s current deal is set to expire next summer.
Alan Shearer once labelled Torreira ‘excellent’.
TBR View: Torreira can help Arsenal secure much-needed funds or a signing
It seems as though the 25-year-old isn’t part of Mikel Arteta’s plans with the Spaniard keen on moving on the midfielder
Arsenal are in an advantageous position with regards to Torreira, who can help the club raise funds or a move for Correa/Kessie
The Argentine attacker was on fire last season, scoring 11 times and registering six assists across all competitions. He was one of his club’s most creative outlets.
Meanwhile, the African was one of his side’s driving forces in their return to the Champions League. The 24-year-old scored 13 times and registered six assists in Serie A despite playing in central midfield.
And with Arsenal looking to add a number 10, the two players could fill the void for a mere €40m (£34.3m) or £42.8m.
Worst case scenario, Arsenal sell Torreira for a sensible fee as they look to drum up interest in the South American.
