According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has told Pierluigi Gollini that he does not want him next season.
Spurs brought in the 27-year-old goalkeeper on a season-long loan deal from Atalanta last summer. Gollini replaced Joe Hart at Tottenham and has played 10 times in all competitions since.
Conte’s side have an option to make Gollini’s loan deal permanent this summer, but sadly for the Atalanta man, it looks like that’s not going to happen.
Antonio Conte does not want Gollini at Tottenham next season
Tottenham are expected to have a strong transfer window irrespective of where they finish in the Premier League. Conte has been heavily linked with a move away, and if Daniel Levy does not back him this summer, there’s a good chance he’ll leave.
The focus will be on incomings at Spurs as their current stars head out for holidays after the game on Sunday. Most of them will return for pre-season, but there are a few who won’t. Gollini is one such player.
The report claims that Conte has informed the 27-year-old that his loan deal will not be made permanent this summer, even though Tottenham have an option to do that.
Gollini will return to Atalanta and Spurs will need to sign a new backup goalkeeper.

Spurs want Sam Johnstone
Hugo Lloris is Tottenham’s number one and that will not change next season. However, he needs a deputy, someone who’s much better than Gollini.
West Brom star Johnstone is the one Tottenham are trying to sign, according to the report, and the Englishman will be available on a free transfer this summer.
That seems like a straightforward deal to complete for Spurs, but the report reveals that four other Premier League sides are also interested in signing Johnstone once he becomes a free agent in July.
Newcastle United, Leicester City, West Ham and Brighton are all set to rival Tottenham for Johnstone’s signature, and it will be interesting to see where the England international will end up in a couple of months’ time.
