Tottenham transfer news: Brazilian outlet shares Lucas Moura transfer update
Tottenham Hotspur forward Lucas Moura is reportedly set to leave Spurs at the end of the season.
The Lilywhites reportedly had the opportunity to extend his contract by a year, but the deadline has passed.
According to a report from The Telegraph, Spurs had until the end of December to trigger the option.
The report suggests Tottenham chose not to do so, implying they’re happy for Moura to leave in the summer.
Brazilian media outlets have been speculating over whether the 30-year-old could be returning to his home country.
Moura came through the ranks at Sao Paulo, who are apparently keeping tabs on the situation.
Globo Esporte, via Sport Witness, reportedly got in touch with Moura’s agent, Junior Pedroso.
As per the Brazilian outlet, Junior confirmed Moura won’t be extending his contract with Tottenham.
However, he also allegedly claimed there haven’t been any negotiations with Sao Paulo just yet.
Moura has received approaches from the USA, England, Italy, Spain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, added the report.

Moura’s place in Tottenham history has been assured, thanks to his efforts in the 2018-19 Champions League campaign.
However, he has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter for much of his time at N17, and it remains the case now.
This season has been particularly difficult for Moura. He has just 269 minutes of football over 11 appearances under his belt, with no goals or assists.
Moura has been an “amazing” member of Tottenham’s squad, but it makes sense for a parting of the ways in summer.
The player can seek first-team football elsewhere, while Spurs can maybe promote from within to cover for the regular starters.
