For those Crystal Palace and Aston Villa fans who were keen to see Manchester City starlet Morgan Rogers arrive, we have bad news.
What’s the story?
Well, both the Eagles and the Villans have been linked to the 19-year-old, who Manchester City paid £8m for when he was just 16.
However, as revealed by the BBC’s Kris Temple, Rogers was spotted walking around the Vitality Stadium before Bournemouth’s clash with Blackpool earlier today.
The teenager wasn’t involved in the squad, as the deal isn’t yet complete.
However, as Temple claims, it should be finalised soon.
According to the Daily Mail, it will be a loan move with a £9m obligation to make the deal permanent in 2022.
What have Crystal Palace and Aston Villa missed out on?

The Premier League duo may just have missed out on the next Dele Alli.
Rogers has been likened to the Tottenham No.20, as both players made their name in the lower leagues before securing big-money moves to England’s top-flight.
Interestingly, the wonderkid has also been compared to Manchester City icon Yaya Toure – a bold comparison indeed.

By the sounds of it, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa have missed out on a real talent.
However, you can’t blame Rogers for choosing Bournemouth.
Under Scott Parker, in a lower division, he should get plenty of game time, which is vital at this stage of his development.
