Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly close to becoming the next Crystal Palace manager, despite links to both Tottenham and Everton.
According to the Telegraph, the 47-year-old is “on the verge” of a move to Selhurst Park.
It is understood that he’s in advanced talks with English club Palace and close to being appointed their new manager.
The report mentions the available manager’s previous interview with Everton, but it looks like he’ll be joining a Premier League rival.
According to the Mirrorin May, Nuno’s super-agent Jorge Mendes has been pushing for him to take the Spurs job.
Additionally, Spanish newspaper AS claimed at the end of May that Nuno has been offered to Everton by his agent.
Nuno better fit at Palace than Spurs or Everton
For Nuno, he’s throwing himself straight back into management.
His surprise exit from Wolverhampton Wanderers came this summer, but he leaves them after a superb four seasons.
It looks like he’s going to be a perfect appointment for Palace.
Meanwhile, Spurs and Everton continue in their quest for a new manager. Fans of both clubs demand an expressive style of play, so perhaps avoiding Nuno makes sense. However, supporters of both are fed up of waiting now.
