West Ham are amongst the group of sides seemingly set for a transfer boost, with the Daily Mail reporting that target Yangel Herrera is expected to leave Manchester City this summer.
Herrera’s stock has risen this year after an impressive loan in La Liga with Granada.

His performances had caught the attention of a couple of Premier League sides – including Pep Guardiola’s men. West Ham and Southampton were linked with a potential move back in April.
It was suggested however, that City may choose to keep him.
The Venezuela international is still awaiting the chance to make his Cityzens debut. He has been on several loan spells since joining the club in 2017.

But it appears that his admirers have received a boost in the transfer window.
According to the Daily Mail, Herrera is one of the players City expect to sell over the coming months. The report suggests that they are looking to raise the funds to help with bids for Harry Kane and Jack Grealish.
The Daily Mail also reports that West Ham and Southampton want the 23-year-old. But they claim that Crystal Palace, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Villarreal are also interested.
According to the report, he could command a fee of £20 million.
Huge coup if West Ham win race for Manchester City midfielder
It does appear that West Ham need further reinforcements in midfield. Mark Noble is coming towards the end of his career.
The Hammers have a Europa League campaign to prepare for. That competition could certainly stretch the squad, particularly if David Moyes’s side do well.
Herrera has been excellent in La Liga this year. The notion that Manchester City could use him next season helps highlight the talent he possesses.
He also has an impressive queue of clubs forming looking to land his signature.
So it would be a coup for West Ham to bring him to the London Stadium. The good news is the Cityzens are seemingly ready to sell.
