According to a report from Turkiye Gazetesi, Tottenham have made a serious offer to sign Besiktas defender Ridvan Yilmaz.

Spurs are gearing up for a hugely important summer transfer window. They simply need to back Antonio Conte and give him the players he needs, and it looks like plans are already underway.

Among all the areas of the pitch that need strengthening, it looks like Conte is looking for another left wing-back, even though he has Sergio Reguilon, Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon at his disposal.

Yilmaz looks like he’s the chosen one and if a report is to be believed the 20-year-old wants the move as well.

Ridvan Yilmaz wants to join Tottenham

The Turkish report claims that Spurs made a very serious offer to Besiktas to sign Yilmaz this summer. Fabio Paratici has reportedly tabled a £6.7 million bid for the young full-back, who has played 31 times in all competitions this season.

Besiktas aren’t really too keen on letting their prodigy leave but they are ready to let him go if their asking price of £8.5 million is met. That really shouldn’t be a problem at all for Spurs.

To make things better for Conte’s side, Yilmaz wants the move as well. It has been claimed that he dreams of playing in the Premier League and has even told Besiktas to consider Tottenham’s offer ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Going by the report, this really seems like an easy deal for Tottenham to complete.

The young Turk’s an Arsenal fan

Tottenham already have a former Arsenal fan in Harry Kane in the squad at the moment and Spurs fans still adore him. Yilmaz could well be the next Gooner at Hotspur Way.

Just under a year ago, Yilmaz revealed in an interview that he wants to play in the Premier League and dreams of playing for one club and one club only – Arsenal.

He told TRT Sport, as quoted by Arsenal Insider: “I want to leave Beşiktaş to make money.

“My heart is in favour of England. I want to play for Arsenal, the Premier League team.”
