Report: 20-year-old Arsenal man who seriously impressed in Dubai now wants to leave on loan in January

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping for a couple of incomings in the transfer window next month.

However, a report from The Athletic suggests there could be a few players on their way of The Emirates.

The January window allows first-team players who aren’t involved enough to try and find a new club.

At Arsenal, one player who fits that bill is Portuguese full-back Cedric Soares.

Cedric has been linked with a move to Fulham, and he could link up with former manager Marco Silva.

However, the Evening Standard believe Arteta is still unsure on whether to let him go.

January also allows young players to find moves away from their parent clubs in search of first-team football.

The Athletic believes that third-choice goalkeeper Karl Hein wants to leave Arsenal temporarily next month.

Their report suggests he has ‘expressed a desire to go out on loan to gain more first-team experience’.

However, Arsenal want him to remain at the club as cover for the remainder of the season.

The Gunners are still fighting on three fronts, and Hein could be needed in the FA Cup or Europa League.

Hein wants to leave Arsenal on loan in January

The Estonian international has had a mixed introduction to first-team football in north London.

He gave away a penalty in the Carabao Cup against Brighton on his debut in November.

However, he still earned the backing of Arteta after the match.

With Aaron Ramsdale and Matt Turner both at the World Cup, Hein earned another opportunity with the senior side during their mid-season break in Qatar.

Hein was seriously impressive, helping Arsenal win both of their games.

He also put in a stunning performance against Lyon, saving four penalties in a shootout.

Both the player’s and club’s positions are understandable going into next month’s transfer window.

Hein wants to leave Arsenal on loan to earn more experience, he’s played more senior international matches than club matches.

Arsenal are one injury away from Hein becoming an important player in the cup competitions.

Arteta won’t want to derail his side’s brilliant season by letting Hein go unnecessarily.
