Report: 18-year-old prospect wants massive £115k-a-week contract, after being linked with Arsenal and Spurs
A report has shed some light on the wage demands of teenager Youssoufa Moukoko amid links with a host of English clubs.
Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with the Borussia Dortmund 18-year-old, while the Times claim Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are keen.
They also say that Dortmund have made him a new contract offer, with his current deal due to expire at the end of the current season.
The report claims he is holding out for a deal worth around £115,000-a-week, with the latest offer coming in shy of that.
Moukoko wage demands reported
Those demands should be affordable for Spurs and Arsenal but it just depends whether they want to offer that much money to a teenager.
He looks as if he has a big future in the game and of course Dortmund have a huge reputation for developing young talent.
Arsenal could recruit a striker next month after the injury to Gabriel Jesus, but they do have potential internal solutions to that problem.
On top of that, it would be a huge amount of pressure to put on a teenager coming to English football for the first time to fire them to the title.
Spurs still need attacking alternatives given their current options are always four from three and injuries hit them in that part of the pitch before the World Cup.
And of course, it seems other elite English clubs are in the race, so it remains to be seen who wins the chase and pays the wages the Germany international is after.
