Renato Sanches was amongst those to send a message of encouragement to Gabriel Magalhaes on Instagram following the defeat Arsenal suffered at the hands of Liverpool on Saturday.
The Gunners suffered a heavy loss at Anfield. They had initially started the game extremely well, and even had the ball in the net at one stage before the offside flag went up.

However, Liverpool went through the gears as the game went on. And they managed to punish a number of individual mistakes from some of Arsenal’s younger players.
One member of the Gunners squad who did emerge from the loss with plenty of credit was Gabriel.

In fact, several Arsenal fans took to social media following the game to suggest that he was one of their best players, along with Aaron Ramsdale.

Gabriel has now taken to Instagram to comment on the result. The Brazil international admitted that it was a tough one to take. However, he also looked to the positives as Arsenal continue to grow under Mikel Arteta.
And interestingly, one of the players to reply to Gabriel was Sanches. The Portugal international – who played alongside the defender at Lille – sent a brief message which translates as: Let’s go kid.

Of course, the message will have a little significance to some because Sanches is a player who has recently been linked with a move to Arsenal.
Plenty of Gunners fans lauded one of his international displays over the break. And days later, it was being reported that the £30 million-rated star was on the club’s radar.
Certainly, many Arsenal supporters will be hoping that he gets the chance to play alongside Gabriel on a number of occasions at some stage in the future.
