Regis Le Bris could continue his sensational start at Sunderland in the Premier League when his side host Aston Villa.
The Frenchman has defied expectations at the Stadium of Light so far, with the 2-0 loss against fellow newly promoted Burnley his only loss across the opening four league fixtures.
Sunderland lost star midfielder Jobe Bellingham to Borussia Dortmund this summer. He followed in his brother Jude’s footsteps when he completed a £27 million move to the Signal Iduna Park.
However, the Black Cats invested £163m to bolster the squad ahead of their return to the top-flight, and the new arrivals have hit the ground running.

Now, Le Bris can make history at Sunderland on Sunday should he claim another scalp at the beginning of the season.
Regis Le Bris can join Ian McColl in the Sunderland record books
According to BBC Sport, the Sunderland boss can become the first manager since Ian McColl in the 1965/66 campaign to win all three of his first home matches in the Premier League.
The last newly promoted side to achieve this feat was Burnley in the 2009/10 season; however, they suffered an immediate return to the Championship.
And the Black Cats are heading into the clash against Aston Villa in exceptional form in comparison to their counterparts, who have yet to score a goal in the league this season.
Le Bris began the campaign with a resounding 3-0 win against West Ham United and has remained unbeaten in the league following the Burnley loss, claiming some impressive results along the way.

Wilson Isidor scored a 96th-minute winner to beat Brentford 2-1 at the Stadium of Light, and the side earned a hard-fought 0-0 draw away at Crystal Palace.
Furthermore, Newcastle legend Alan Shearer has admitted that Sunderland have impressed him upon their return to the top flight, and a win on Saturday could see the Black Cats move as high as second in the league table, depending on the results elsewhere.
While Le Bris can add to his record of matching Sunderland’s highest-ever league finish in the Championship at the Stadium of Light, more importantly, the boss can put some significant daylight between his side and the relegation zone.
Sunderland can shock Aston Villa in the Premier League
Although Paul Merson predicts Villa to get the three points at the Stadium of Light, the pundit admitted in his Premier League predictions for Sportkeeda that Sunderland are facing the Villans at the perfect time.
“We talk about timings all the time. This is the perfect time for Sunderland to face Aston Villa. Not only are Sunderland playing well, Villa can’t even score a goal for a toffee! To make matters worse, Unai Emery’s men were dumped out of the cup by Brentford this week. Sunderland will look at this game as a huge chance to get another impressive win on home turf.
“This Villa team doesn’t whet my appetite. When I saw them last season, they looked like a proper team. Now I look at them and it’s the exact opposite! Harvey Elliot is a good signing, and he has to be in the starting line-up for this game. I don’t know what Jadon Sancho is doing at the moment, though.

“He’s not running at anybody, not committing people, and not taking chances! I’d be shocked if he starts this game. Sancho needs to stop playing it safe and has to take risks with the ball at his feet. If you lose the ball, no one cares. Try and make things happen instead of just passing it around.
“Sunderland are going to come out with the intention of taking the game to Villa. And if they score first at home, they have a massive chance to get all three points. Villa must absorb the early pressure and stay in the game. It’s true that when you don’t score goals as a team, you lose a lot of confidence. But I expect Villa’s quality to get them over the line in the end here.
