Tottenham Hotspur youngster Dane Scarlett recently joined Portsmouth on a season-long loan and another striker at the League One side has suggested he is an absolute gem coming through the ranks.

Speaking to the News Portsmouth, Pompey striker Joe Pigott has heaped praise on the Spurs youngster following his loan switch.

At just 18-years-old, Scarlett has already racked up appearances in the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup for Spurs and he looks to be a big talent for the future.

The Tottenham academy product also starred for England earlier this summer as the young Lions team won the U19 European Championships.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte has now sent the youngster out on loan to gain some more first-team experience and it seems he is already making an impression on his new teammates.
