Report: Club have just told 'amazing' player Liverpool want to sign it's now or never
Real Madrid have apparently advanced their transfer proposal for Liverpool target Jude Bellingham this week, according to The Telegraph.
It’s claimed in the report that Madrid are essentially trying to woo Bellingham with a now or never off, as their transfer teams looks to convince the Englishman his future lies in Spain.
As has been widely reported, Bellingham is believed to be the number one target for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp next summer. The Telegraph claims bidding could start around the £88m mark, although there’s a feeling within football that if he has a good World Cup then that value will rocket further.
Liverpool’s hopes of landing Bellingham, though, appear to be being made harder by Madrid’s advances. It’s claimed that Los Blancos are promising to make Bellingham their new ‘Galactico’ and with young players like Vinicius, Rodrygo and Camavinga on the books already, they hope the Englishman will be tempted to join.
Of course, Liverpool will no doubt be planning their own pitch. The Reds have been linked for that long that it seems unimaginable that they won’t at least try and match Madrid’s offers.
TBR’s View: Bellingham Will Be The Transfer Of 2023
Whoever lands Jude Bellingham is essentially getting the best young midfielder in Europe and sealing themselves a top player for the next decade.
Bellingham is that good and it would be a huge surprise to see Gareth Southgate not start him in Qatar. His ability is above most of the other England midfielders and even Gary Neville was left amazed by how well he played in the recent international break, branding him ‘amazing’.
Rest assured, the race for Bellingham will dominate the footballing headlines in 2023. And if Liverpool do get him ahead of Madrid, then they are right back in the title mix up.
