Arsenal could be facing up to a small fight to keep hold of Kieran Tierney this summer, after Real Madrid apparently watched him numerous times over the course of January and February.
90Min have reported how Tierney is on Madrid’s radar after a number of fine performances for the Gunners this season. Seen as a potential future captain, that thought process was endorsed by Arsenal legend Gilberto Silva just as recently as last month.

Interestingly, though, 90Min’s report states that Madrid actually got wind of Tierney while they were on a scouting mission for his teammate, Bukayo Saka. And while it’s stated that Saka did indeed impress Madrid’s scouting team, it was Tierney who also caught their eye.
Tierney, who Mikel Arteta branded as ‘special’ not so long ago, is now being eyed for a move by Madrid, who are impressed with his ability to play both left-back and centrally.
Naturally, the Gunners will want to keep the Scot. Tierney has been outstanding since arriving Celtic and has quickly become a fan favourite due to his no-nonsense approach.
TBR’s View: Madrid Would Need Huge Fee For Tierney
Not that Arsenal will sell, but if Real do fancy themselves in this one then they’re going to be paying huge money.
Arsenal paid around £25m themselves and they’re not going to simply allow one of their best and most consistent players to simply leave the club for a paltry fee. You’d expect anything around the £50m mark, maybe even more.
In fact, the reality is Arsenal probably want nothing to do with this, so Madrid can scout all they like.
