Newcastle United have been reportedly offered the chance to sign Real Madrid superstar Eden Hazard – and Madrid fans want him gone.

Hazard, 30, joined Madrid from Chelsea for an initial fee of £89million (BBC Sport) in 2019. It comes after 202 goal involvements in 352 Chelsea outings.

But at Madrid, it has not gone to plan. The Belgian has been on the sidelines as much as he has been on the pitch – with injury hampering momentum.

Hazard has only played 52 times for Madrid over the course of more than two seasons. He has only scored five goals, laying on just nine assists.

This season, Hazard is yet to score and has only started five of his nine appearances for Madrid. He needs a move to restore some confidence.

ESPN claim that Newcastle and Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Hazard. They say other Premier League clubs have also been spoken to.
