Rangers fans praise their ‘immense’ 25-year-old for his internatonal performance
Glen Kamara was in action on Wednesday at Euro 2020 – and some Rangers fans on Twitter were left amazed by the quality of their star’s international display.
Kamara played for his country Finland in their 1-0 defeat yesterday against Russia. Aleksei Miranchuk scored the winning goal of the game.
The Finnish side now have three points from their opening two group stage matches, so do still have a chance of qualifying for the knockout rounds of the Euros.
Despite ending up on the losing side, Kamara stood out in a positive way.
The 25-year-old put in a shift as a box-to-box central midfielder for 90 minutes, something Rangers fans are so used to seeing him do at Ibrox.
Rangers fans desperate to keep Kamara
A selection Rangers supporters on social media praised Kamara for his midweek display. Additionally, some commented on the need to secure his future.
He played a pivotal role in the Gers success during the 2020/21 season, and ended up with a mammoth 51 appearances across all competitions. Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard definitely used him as one of his favourites.
There is so much to like about his game defensively with his positioning, tackling and interceptions. Also, he’s got flair and composure with the ball at his feet.
However, Rangers fans are a little concerned that summer performances for Finland could attract transfer attention.
GIVEMESPORT claimed in April that Arsenal are weighing up a move for Kamara. Additionally, the Daily Mail said in April that there is potential interest from Brighton, Southampton, Burnley, Leeds United and Watford.
He showed on Wednesday why he is one of the big stars in the Finland XI.
