Ramon Vega has posted an exciting prediction as Antonio Conte reportedly nears the Tottenham job, ahead of December’s Cup clash against West Ham.

Conte, 52, is reportedly set to be announced as Spurs manager on Tuesday. It comes after turning the North London side down in the summer.

It is believed that Conte is in London, and that he will be putting pen to paper on an 18-month deal. The Mail say he will get £250,000 a week.

It is a massive coup for Spurs, not only because they were rejected by the Italian in the summer. He is the best manager in the world, without a job.

Ex-Tottenham man Vega is excited. He has taken to Twitter, as Spurs face West Ham in the Carabao Cup on December 21.

Tagging TalkSPORT reporter and West Ham fan Ian Abrahams in his Tweet, he predicted Conte to have “fire” in his belly ahead of the London clash.

While the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo comes after a dismal 3-0 defeat to Manchester United, Spurs do remain in a decent-enough position.

They sit in eighth in the Premier League table after 10 games – winning five times. They are still in a good position to qualify for Europe after Christmas.

In the Carabao Cup, Spurs have qualified for the quarter-finals where they play host to in-form West Ham. They have beaten both Manchester clubs.

With Brentford, Liverpool, Chelsea, Leicester, Sunderland and Arsenal remain in the tournament – Conte will fancy his chances of silverware.
