Radu Dragusin to Tottenham turned into a bit of a transfer saga at the last minute.
The Romanian defender was courted by both Bayern Munich and Napoli over the past 24 hours, but it now looks as though Spurs have got their man.
Indeed, while Bayern Munich gave the Genoa defender something to think about with an eleventh hour bid on Tuesday evening, the defender has now ultimately decided that he wants to join Tottenham Hotspur.
That is according to the reliable Italian journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio.
Dragusin has seemingly chosen Tottenham, and that is a huge boost for Spurs.
In fact, this is a massive boost for Tottenham in more ways than one.
Indeed, the fact that they’ve seemingly sealed a young, promising centre-back is exciting enough, but the fact that they’ve beaten Bayern Munich to this signing should have another knock-on effect.

Let’s not forget, the Bavarians have also been strongly linked with a move for Eric Dier, and the fact that they have missed out on Dragusin should accelerate the move for Dier and help Spurs shift some more deadwood from their squad.
It wouldn’t be a Tottenham transfer window without a bit of drama, and while the Dragusin deal appeared to be shaky at certain points, it now appears as though they have got their man.
Dragusin could be just what the doctor ordered at Tottenham to, by the sounds of it’s he’s absolutely perfect for Ange Postecoglou with his front-footed all-action style, and the fact that he’s just 21 years old should mean that his value only increases in years to come.
Beating Bayern Munich to any signing is no easy feat, but Spurs have managed to do just that and that’s a huge signal of intent in terms of re-establishing themselves as one of the elite destinations for any player in Europe.
Tottenham’s squad is about to become a little bit stronger.
