The lack of transfer activity by Celtic in this window has left the fans feeling frustrated this month.
After watching a lacklustre display against Ross County on Saturday afternoon, the Celtic supporters are convinced now that the team needs a fresh injection of quality to spark Brendan Rodgers‘ side into action.
And whilst the future over the performance continues, former Celtic striker Frank McAvennie has shared what he thinks the club need to do in the transfer market or risk the wrath of not just the fans but the manager as well.
McAvennie said [Daily Record], “Brendan’s reputation is on the line here and he can’t be happy that anyone else who does come in will be a last-minute job and will take a while to settle in whereas if deals had been done three weeks ago then that wouldn’t be an issue now.
“What he needs are two £5m signings who are the finished article instead of more projects. If that doesn’t happen then he – and the fans – will be furious.”
£10m on two players is more than affordable for Celtic. After posting record profits last year, the club have plenty of cash in the bank to spend on players.

The problem the fans have is that there seems to be no urgency to do so with only one player added so far and less than three days of the window to go.
The transfer rumour mill has had players like Lawrence Shankland and Bojan Miovski touted for moves to the east of Glasgow.
Mark Guidi also suggested that West Ham’s, Danny Ings, could be a possible target. All players are affordable and within Celtic’s financial reach.
What the fans need to see now from the club is action and moves being made because if the Celtic board think that they were angry after the Ross County match, that will be nothing compared to the outrage that will be felt on Friday should no new players be ready to be paraded at Celtic Park.
