Jason Cundy has told talkSPORT that it is a travesty that Harry Kane and Son Heung-min remain at Tottenham Hotspur given that the club have not won a trophy since 2008.
Spurs, of course, have provided a glimpse of what they could become under Antonio Conte. They beat Manchester City 3-2 at the weekend in a stunning performance.

Kane was certainly the star of the show with two goals. But Son’s performance was unbelievable also. Micah Richards suggested that his ‘absolutely exceptional‘ display was pivotal in allowing Kane to make the big difference.
The result has left Tottenham in a fantastic spot in the race for the top-four. And it has whetted the appetite for what is to come for Spurs fans while Conte is at the helm.

Obviously, the concern will be that they do not capitalise over the remaining months of the season. Certainly, that could leave a question mark over whether Son and Kane will stay at Tottenham.
But Cundy has suggested that he is already baffled by the fact that the pair remain at the club anyway.
“Kane again, the conversation will come back round, inevitably, about Kane being one of the best strikers in the world,” he told talkSPORT.
“I think he’s the best, he is an absolute delight to watch, even as a Chelsea fan I have to say, he is a brilliant, brilliant footballer.
“How is he still at Spurs? It’s a travesty, him and Son, I feel sorry for the pair of them.
“Son, I don’t think he’s quite world class, he can put in a world class performance but he’s not in the same bracket, Kane is, Kane is right up there.”
Tottenham look to have one final chance to establish themselves back amongst heavyweights while Kane and Son are at their peak
Tottenham have a fantastic opportunity. Conte is a world-class manager with a track record for winning trophies. And in Kane and Son, they have two players who should be at their absolute peak.
It is imperative that Spurs now get it right in the next few years.
If anyone is going to see them over the line, it is surely Conte. And if he is not given the backing, the likes of Son and Kane will surely have questions about their futures.
It looks to be now or never for this era at Tottenham while they have Conte, Kane and Son at the club.
