Pundit says 24-year-old is running out of time to make it at Arsenal

Arsenal lost 3-1 against West Ham in midweek, and it’s fair to say that the Gunners were way off the pace against the Hammers.

The north London club put in their worst performance of the season on Wednesday, and, as ever, certain players are receiving the brunt of the blame.

One man who has had plenty of fingers pointed at him in recent weeks is Kai Havertz, and speaking on the Premier League All Access Podcast, Scott Minto has given Havertz a damning review.

The pundit says he doesn’t understand why Arsenal signed Havertz, claiming that he is taking way too long to settle in at the Emirates.

Havertz not settling

Minto shared his verdict on the ‘tremendous’ German.

“I played in Portugal and I found it easier because the pace was slower and I came back and I struggled. But how long does he want? I didn’t get the move in the first place. We were all saying Arsenal needed a fox in the box and a goalscorer. Eddie Nketiah has come on a lot, but can you rely on him in the way you can with Ian Wright or Thierry Henry?” Minto said.

Not good enough

As much as we hate to lay into one player over and over again, it can’t be denied that Havertz hasn’t been good enough for Arsenal.

He’s been in England for years now, and he still doesn’t look like he’s settled in the Premier League.

Of course, coming into a new club is a challenge in itself, but many of Arsenal’s signings in recent years have settled straight away, whereas Havertz has just faltered since arriving at the Emirates.

The German really needs to step up.
